Topics will range from creating better point and shoot images to finding your way around Photoshop Elements and Photoshop. Classes will range from 12 to 20 students. Join us for a three and 1/2 hour mini-workshop devoted to showing you ways to work models to create outstanding portraits and fashion images. You will work with one of Oahu’s most beautiful and talented models in a professional studio setting. The first hour will be spent setting up the studio and discussing some of the basics of model photography. Two hours will be spent on the set. We’ll discuss issues related to posing and interacting with your model. We’ll start with a head and shoulders portrait and then move to full length and show some of the common posing mistakes and how to fix them. The final half hour will be spent tearing the studio down and discussing common post-production issues. Click above image to see photos and comments from our last class.
NOTE: We will discuss some basic lighting issues and you’ll learn proper metering techniques, but this is NOT a lighting course. Full day and mini-lighting workshops are available.

The Photoshop Workspace: Where to Find and Use Your Tools and Palettes (Elements too)
Workshop will take you through the Photoshop interface and briefly introduce how the main tools and palettes work
Basic Image Enhancements and Layer Masks (maybe Elements too)
Workshop includes basic color correction techniques and and introduction to the clone and heal tools. We will tap the surface of the power of Layer Masks and Blending Modes
Introduction to Camera Raw
Workshop includes a discussion that addresses the question: “Why shoot RAW?” The RAW interface and controls will be demonstrated and discussed.
